Raynold Thege, 79, of David City, died Thursday, March 3, 2016, at david place in David City.

Ray was born August 16, 1936, on the family farm near Linwood, Nebraska to George and
Rose(Houfek) Thege.  He attended District #78
near Linwood and graduated from Linwood High
School. In 1957 he enlisted in the United States Army and served as a tank driver until being
Honorably discharged in 1959.  He married Pauline Zakovec on March 24, 1962, in Bersford, South
Dakota. Ray worked for the  North Bend Trailer Factory and farmed near Linwood.  In 198
4 they
moved to David City where Ray was one of the original employees and worked for Timpte for over 20
years.  He was a life member of the Prague Presbyterian Church and served several terms as an Elder.  
He loved polka music, bowling, woodworking and doing "outside" work.  
Ray is survived by his wife Pauline, David City, sons Curt(Denise) Thege, Lincoln, Doug(Pam) Thege
of Gillman, Iowa, James(Nancy) Thege of David City, a daughter, Roxane(Don) Heiser of Weston, six
grandchildren;Drake(Emily) Thege of Phoenix, Lindsey Thege and her fiance Tyler Francis of Lincoln,
Cody Thege of New Bern North Carolina, Brooke, Kaitlin and Colten Thege, all of David City, 9
step-greatgrandchildren, brothers, Richard Thege of North Bend, Don(Alyce) Thege of Schuyler and
two sisters-in-law;Mary Ann Thege of Norfolk and Marlene Thege of North Bend.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George and Clarence Thege.
